I'm about to take the plunge and trade in my 8N for an L3130HST 4WD and the LA513. I was quoted a price of $15,100 for the tractor itself and another $3500 for the loader. From what I have been seeing here this sounds high. Any ideas? If high by how much? Thanks.

On 6-14, the dealer in Lincolnton NC quoted $17070 for the 3130 tractor with the glide transmission and loader (not sure of model). He claims his prices are best around. ....

Hi Tom,
thanks for the input. The dealers here (SW OH) are as much as $2000 higher for the same rig. I'm continuing to search around. Sooner or later I'll take some offer. Depends a lot on how long I can stand to continue this search. I want this new tractor yesterday. I'll post whatever the result is when I have one.

I just recieved a quote from Shreveport Tractor in Shreveport, Louisiana for the following Kubota models
L3400DT W/ R1 Tires (4wd) $11,500
L3400DT W/ R4 Tires (4wd) $12,000
L3130FST W/ R1 Tires (8x8 Trans)(2wd) $11,300
L3130DT FST W/ R1 Tires (4wd) $13,100
Loaders run between $3000 and $3600 for Kubota or BushHog
Salesman is Al Cobb at 318-687-1341

I just bought a Kubota L3130 HST 4WD w/LA513 quick attach bucket. I paid $14,400 for the tractor and $3,400 for the loader. I found some a little lower in cost, but it would have involved substanial driving time to pickup or substanial delivery cost. So I went with the local dealer. ....

I'am located in DeLand, Florida and I bought my tractor from Slade Smith (salesman) at Triple D Equipment (386) 734-2119. This guy was good. He made taking the plunge on a new piece of equipment not so bad. If nothing else give him a call and check prices. I've been very impressed with him and his company. ....

I just got back from vacation in the Pacific NW, and I visited 7 or 8 tractor dealers along the way. I got a few quotations on the L3130GST w/LA513 ldr. Best prices were in Oregon, about 17,400, and no sales tax.
Funny thing is I also found out about a used L3130HST for sale, in new condition, but the seller wanted $19K. Seems a lot of buyers don't shop around....
There are also lease-return used tractors out there at some dealers. They are 1500-2000 off the new price and have full warranties.

So I finally did it last week. My local dealer - Zimmer in SW OH - sold me an L3130 HST, 723 FEL with skid steer hitch and 72" L2240 HD bucket, and 400 lbs of weight for $19,200. It was not the lowest price anywhere but it was good enough. The dealer is pretty good and is only 7 miles away. So I'm quite satisfied. And the tractor is a joy. Thanks to all for the input. ....
